DefensiveFit is not just our name but our program. Our training is influenced by multiple martial arts like Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune  Do, Filipino Martial Arts, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jui-jitsu and Crossfit. 

​The goal is to build reflexes, movements and overall physical fitness in order to have a solid foundation. From day one you will be doing short intense workouts, hitting pads and learning to react to attacks in effective ways. The reality is you don't get to pick the bad guy; the bad guy usually picks you so you MUST BE PREPARED!.


Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do - Bruce Lee’s personal system, the Jun Fan Martial Arts / Jeet Kune Do, is known for its economy of motion and integration of arts and ranges.

Filipino Martial Arts -  Kali is an ancient word that serves as an umbrella term for all the Filipino martial arts. The weaponry training covers a wide spectrum featuring stick, blade and knife as well as flexible weapons and weapons of opportunity. 

Muay Thai - Muay Thai is known as “King of the Ring” in kickboxing circles. These fights feature punches, kicks, elbows, knees, standing grappling and head-butts to wear down and knock out their opponent. ​

​​​Judo/Brazilian Jiu-jitsu- are martial arts and combat sports that focus on throws & grappling with particular emphasis on ground fighting.

​Level 1 -  Junior Student 
In Level 1 the student is introduces to the FUNDAMENTALS!!!…The stance, footwork, basic strikes, distance, angling and timing. 

Level 2 - Senior Student
In Level 2 the students learns to create openings in the opponents attack utilizing fakes, feits, hand/foot trapping, limb destruction, locks and throws. 

Level 3 - Apprentice Instructor
​In Level 3 the students learns to adapt to different opponents, styles, speeds and ranges. 

Level 4 - Associate Instructor
In Level 4 the student should feel comfortable responding to any type of attack regardless if its empty or against a weapon. Motions are based on good instinct and reflexes.

Level 5 - Senior Associate Instructor
At this point you will be encouraged to follow your personal interests and specialize in any specific area. The direction you take will be discuss between you and your instructor.​​ 

Level 6 - Full Instructor
At this level you have developed your own "STYLE" ...of fighting.
